About Students
How many of us grew up in churches that kept the Youth Group separate and then when you hit the summer after your Senior year in High School, you suddenly entered the black whole known in churchdome as "College and Career". What is that? At SouthPoint, we strive to do away with the barrier between KidsPoint and Big Church. Beginning at 6th grade, young people are encouraged to volunteer on Sundays, engage in our Sunday gatherings and be a vital part of what we are doing. We are trying to grow the next generation up right - going to church and being a participant, not a youth.
High School
On Wednesday evenings, our youth group meets together to study the Word more in-depth and learn how to apply it to their young lives. They have loads of fun and grow in God at the same time. Seems like a theme at SouthPoint, doesnt it?!?!?
Volunteer Opportunities
There are always opportunities for young adults (and not-so-young adults) to feed into the growth that happens in our young people. We have families who provide snacks, families who provide meeting locations, families who provide entertainment venues. If you would like to be a part of this provision, or just come and hang out with a great group of teens, feel free to contact Numion and Sherri Sizemore, our head youth leaders. They'll take all the help they can get!
