OH, THE PLACES YOU'LL GO!
In this series Pastor Craig Wendel opens our eyes to the countless open doors God places before us each day. Often times, God opens doors but then leaves it to us to seek His will and choose the right one. This series will teach us how to recognize open doors, and give us the encouragement to step out in faith and embrace all of the extraordinary opportunities that await.
God has an amazing adventure planned for you. All you need to do is walk through the door. And who knows? You just might do something that lasts for eternity.
The point is, our lives are filled with open doors.
But “open door” isn’t a phrase to describe just any opportunity. An open door is an opportunity provided by God to act with God and for God.
Rarely in the Bible does God command someone to “stay.” Instead, he opens a door and invites us to walk through it-into the unknown. And whether we stay or go will ultimately determine the kind of life we’ll live and the kind of person we’ll become.
But it’s not just one door. God places lots of open doors in front of us every day. For those who recognize them and choose to walk through, life becomes a divine adventure. And those who don’t? Well… not only are they missing out on a lot of incredible adventures and experiences, they’re missing out on all the amazing work God wants to do through them!
No matter who you are or where you’re at in life, each and every day is alive with opportunity! Maybe you’re in a rut, and while your life is safe, it’s not exactly fulfilling. You want to do more and be more, but what and how?
Maybe you’re thinking about changing jobs or careers. How do you choose wisely? Maybe you’re about to graduate from college. Should you find a job? Apply to grad school? Or perhaps move back in with Mom and Dad?
Mom and Dad – your kid just graduated from college. Should you encourage them to take that job? Let them move back in? Or perhaps change the locks and turn their old room into the den you’ve always wanted?
If we want to experience more of the Spirit of God in our lives, we need to train ourselves to look for and respond to moments of divine opportunity. So get ready. Because somewhere out there, God has placed before you an open door. The question is… what will you do?
